Thanksgiving weekend in the midwest?

We have family dinner Thursday afternoon and then???  Looking for adventure.  Where would you backpack, bikepack, generally travel?

A couple nights on the Superior Hiking trail?

Bike/hike/ride in the Cable area?

What's over north of Green Bay?

What about those Dunes down near Chicago?

Isn't there a place even closer to me that I haven't had time to properly explore?

    North of Green Bay really isn't worth going too, unless you are talking about the U.P. I lived there and it's not worth the time you'd spend traveling to ride.

    I'm definitely OK with just hiking, but it appears I would be dealing with deer hunters regardless.
